Analytics for Groups?

Hello,

I am interest in analytics for groups at the institution level. Is this available at all?

From what I have seen here, it currently sounds like I'd need to look up each group member individually to see their usage. However, I'm not interested in assessing individuals, but rather a group as a whole.

Thank you for contacting the Canvas Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with analytics  for groups. Unfortunately, there are no course or admin analytics for groups that were setup within courses although we understand the need and desire to have that option available.

There may be an option of setting this up with  Google Analytics but that would need to be looked into further and not likely yet a built in feature:

Hi Greydon, I am a teacher who is added as a teacher to a course created by a colleague. I am unable to do a group analytic for just the students assigned to me. This seems like a feature Canvas should already have or have imminently coming out. It's pretty basic in terms of LMS functionality. Can you give a timeline?
