App for multi-part Formula Question?

In many quizzes, you want to ask questions based on changing input-variables; and similar changing correct answers!

This functionality is called Formula Questions in Canvas.

The ability to ask multiple questions to the same set of input-variables, has been a strongly requested by some users in this community since 2015, but this use-case have yet to be implemented in Canvas.

The use-case is central in most of the topics I have studied and taught, incl. math, physics, chemistry, economics, accounting, finance.  And its implemented in competing LMS.

Therefore, I wonder if any of you have experience with using an app-solution in Canvas?

I tried using the most obvious apps suggested in Canvas, but with no luck so far.

We have Cengage WebAssign integrated through "Cengage LTI Advantage".  They use PHP for constructing questions and have a large library of questions from various textbooks that they publish.  Unfortunately, it costs students a subscription fee depending on which textbook is integrated.
