Assigning Grades to Students for Peer Reviewed Discussions and Assignments

Hello. I am not seeing how peer-reviewed discussions and assignments have students' grades entered into Canvas.

For instance, if an assignment is worth 50 points and requires 2 peer reviews using a rubric. If Student B assigns a 45 to Student A and Student B assigns Student A a 40, what is the grade for Student A in Canvas using the Speedgrader? Or, do I, as the instructor assign a final grade, or does Canvas assign a grade?

Great question! The rubrics for peer review can only be used for evaluation, not grading. As the instructor, you would have to assign the final grade. More information can be found in this guide.

Yes, that helps, Tori. I had previously read the link you shared, but the disconnect for me was the obvious statement you made that I would need to assign the grade. Guess I am on pre-course population mental overload. 😉
