Assignments in Module not showing up in gradebook

There are a bunch of assignments I have in my modules that aren't showing up under "assignments" or in "grades." All the modules are published, all the assignments are published and there are dates for all of them.  Can anybody tell me why they're not showing up for me?  I need to get them synced to PowerSchool.

You might want to check that the objects you think are Assignments are actually Assignments - not, for example, a File titled "assignment". Since you don't see them on the Assignments page, I'm guessing they are not really Assignments.

Hi @JamesGater ,

Does your institution use grading periods? If your due dates are outside the grading period, the assignments won't show up in your gradebook unless you filter for the correct grading period.

I don't know why you wouldn't see them in Assignments, though. They should show up there regardless. As @audrey_crawford mentioned, is it possible they actually are Pages (or something else) instead of Assignments?

Can you post a screenshot of one of your modules?

If you click on an assignment in a module, where does that take you? Can you follow the breadcrumb trail to find the location of the assignment?

Only published activities (assignments, discussions, and quizzes) that have been set to be graded will show in the gradebook.

The Assignment page will show you all activities in the course that have been set to be graded (and therefore also show in the gradebook).  So, the assignments page will show all assignments as well as any graded discussions and quizzes. 

If you have ungraded discussions, they will only show in the Discussions page, and will not show in the gradebook.  

Practice quizzes and ungraded surveys will only show on the Quiz page. 

If you have created pages with assignment information on them, that will never show in the gradebook.  You can set a read-by date for those, but it won't show on the assignments page.  If this is the case, and you need these in the gradebook, you will have to recreate them as assignments.
