Hi everyone,
I’m a system administrator for my institution’s Canvas instance, and I’ve been asked to adjust the placement of a custom “Pronto ” icon on the navigation bar. Currently, the icon is located at the bottom of the navigation bar, and I need to move it above the Help icon.
I’d like to know:
1. Has anyone implemented a similar custom icon, and if so, how did you handle reordering it in the navigation bar?
2. Are there specific steps to rearrange custom navigation items within the Theme Editor or using Custom JavaScript/CSS?
Additionally, if any schools are using this “Pronto ” icon as part of their setup, I’d appreciate insights into how it was configured.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi @dbrace
Thank you so much for responding back I did check this document but still does not show how did they get there
It's 1.1
Thank you for your help I appreciate it!
You are welcome, @IlariaHenein.
My intention in providing you with that link was not to give you or show you the answer. It was to show that it seems to be possible to do what you are trying to do.
I do not have an answer for you (at least not at this time) but hopefully someone else sees your question and can help.

Hi @IlariaHenein,
I'm fairly sure all LTI tools added to global navigation in the official way would be just above the help icon. In this case, Canvas determines the order of the icons (I think it's done in the order in which they were installed, but I could be incorrect).
If you have an icon below help, that leads me to think the icon itself is being inserted by custom JavaScript/CSS in your Canvas theme instead of an LTI placement. It sounds like you're familiar with JavaScript/CSS in the theme area, so I'd suggest checking the files you have in place now to see if the icon is being inserted through there. Once you're able to determine that, someone might be able to give options to adjust the placement.
I hope this additional info may be of some help.
-Chris
