As we move into our second year using Canvas, I wonder the best way to remove access for non-returning students (graduates and others who did not re-enroll).
We would like to maintain an archive in Canvas with Gradebooks and rosters intact, but when we mark students inactive, it will remove them from past enrollments along with grading data.
I'm thinking we might suspend the users (rather than delete) after changing their login name (to something like Grad22_{oldusername).
Any thoughts on how to best off-board students who leave the school without making grades and rosters dissapear?

Hi @kevineaton!
If you wanted to keep their enrollments active in the courses and they are not going to be returning to the school at that time, the suspended status would be perfect. That will keep them from being able to sign in and their accounts/enrollments will still be active.
