Hello everyone,

According to this User's Guide, the category names in Blackbaud MUST match the ones in Canvas. But when you go to assignments, Canvas lets you pick the category to sync with.  DOes it really have to be the same name and if so, what does choosing a different one do?

Thanks for posting in the community.

I am seeing  that in that document it does state your Canvas assignment group names must match your Blackbaud gradebook grading category names. Enter the Blackbaud gradebook category name in the Group Name field when creating the Assignment Groups. 

When syncing however, we are able to select which Section we are syncing to.
