Browser freezes when doing quizzes

When doing quizzes on Canvas, my browser (Firefox) starts to freeze, which makes it a pain to deal with when typing. The timer freezes, and I am just praying that I can finish this before the timer ends. Typing is so bad when it freezes every second. The weird part is that it starts well but then starts to freeze.

Could there be any reason for this?

Hi @Vows1x,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems. I know that this can cause additional anxiety when trying to complete your work.

While Firefox is a supported web browser, have you:

1. made sure that it is upto date ( Update Firefox to the latest release | Firefox Help )?
2. have you tried to use another web browser and does the problem still happen?

Are the quizzes that you are trying to take (classic) quizzes (as described at  How do I take a quiz? - Instructure Community - 507 ) or new quizzes (as described at  How do I take a quiz in New Quizzes? - Instructure Community - 291 )?

Have you reported the problem to your instructor or to your institution's Canvas team to find out if other students have reported a problem?
