Can I Merge Two Existing Student Accounts?

I use Canvas through my school for classes. I recently signed up for a third-party workshop course, which is provided through Canvas as well. However, I used a different email at first to sign into Canvas, which created a new account. Then I tried again using the same school email address that is connected to my original, main account, but it created yet another new account.
Is there any way I can merge two accounts into one?

Hi @JackAustin,
Canvas administrators have the ability to merge *some* accounts, but it's not something you'll generally be able to do yourself.
Just to be super clear though, each school/institution will generally have its own Canvas site, which is independent of all others. If you're a student at the University of Earth, but want to sign up for a training course offered by the University of Mars, you'll need a separate account at each university. Each account may be tied to the same email address, but the passwords will not be connected, nor will your Canvas dashboards, to-do lists, etc.
It sounds like you may have created at least two accounts in a single Canvas instance, which the admin for that instance could potentially merge on your request. You would need to reach out to the Canvas team at the school/institution you signed up for the two accounts at though. That team is usually in the eLearning / IT / Digital Education areas depending on the school/institution. If this is using a free-for-teacher Canvas instance, you probably won't be able to get the accounts merged easily though as that is a slightly more unmanaged Canvas.
I hope this info helps!
