Years ago, Speedgrader allowed you to toggle between assignments in the top banner menu. It made it convenient when grading make-up work for a student who had been absent. Now you have to return to the gradebook for each assignment and re-enter Speedgrader in order to grade submissions.
Could we please have the toggle feature back to save time?
You can go and ask that on the Ideas page.
Sometimes Canvas gives and sometimes takes away.
Hi @christopher_ro1,
I asked a few colleagues about that, and none of us remember SpeedGrader ever being able to toggle between assignments. Are you perhaps thinking about the slideout Grade Detail Tray in the gradebook, which does have that functionality (see the Grade Detail Tray section of theHow do I use the Gradebook? - Instructure Community - 701 guide for screenshots)?
We look forward to hearing back from you!
-Chris
When I first started using Canvas back in 2017 or 2018, the banner menu in Speedgrader had that ability. The Grade Detail Tray doesn't allow you to see the document you need to grade, so it doesn't help do what I'd like to do.
There used to be a carrot arrow next to the Assignmnet name in the Speedgrader banner that would let you click ahead or back to another assignment without leaving the Speedgrader screen. It was a nice feature when grading make up work for the same student.
