Can't duplicate Canvas assignment

There was an old, 2018, post that had a solution marked as "correct" that indicated assignments using Turnitin and other LTI tools could not be duplicated. This remains true. Well I have discovered that even if you edit an assignment to remove the dependence on the tool (e.g. select "no submission") you still cannot duplicate the assignment. Very frustrating.

Is this a known Canvas bug?

Thanks for posting this in the Community. 

I know that THIS guide lists that "Except for New Quizzes assessments, assignments configured as an external tool (LTI) submission type cannot be duplicated."

I am guessing that this feature gets disabled upon the assignment creation if it was associated with an LTI such as Turnitin. You might be able to have canvas support take a look and test this to see if it is a BUG or related to a known issue.
