Can you migrate assessments from free course to school course?

My county is creating course templates that we will be required to use. I would like to begin building my assessments, but we will not be provided a sandbox. I don't want to wait until 5 days before school begins to start creating these. Is it possible for me to create assessments in a free personal course and migrate them to the county's template once I download it to my county account?

You should be able to export the course from the free server, save the export file (it will be a .zip file), then import the saved export file into an existing course in your school's Canvas server.
