Canvas Discussion - Notifications

Does anyone know how to make the discussions of a particular thread response send out a notification when there is a reply to your post?

Would it work for you to subscribe to a specific discussion topic?  Then, you could set up your personal notifications in Canvas to alert you when someone replies to that particular topic:

• How do I subscribe to a discussion as a student?
• How do I subscribe to a discussion as an instructor?
• How do I manage notifications for a single course?
• How do I manage my Canvas notification settings?
