Canvas Gradebook Functions

Canvas needs to add the following functionality to the gradebook:

1. An icon to apply to assignment grades that indicate an assignment is submitted and grades are pending (this is extremely important for assignments that are submitted on paper or through another application that allows direct submission through Canvas, but does not result in the "submitted" icon in the gradebook). 

2. The ability to bulk-apply actions to certain students in the gradebook, such as: missing, late. This needs to be an options without having to typed in and select each individual student that needs this applied (at least in cases where a submission icon is in place, but the missing icon is not auto-applied to students who have NOT submitted).

3. The ability to assign things to differentiated groups without making it a group assignment. This seems to be the only way to differentiate assignments currently, in order to avoid those students having two of the same assignment appear in their gradebook, and therefore having to excuse them from the regular assignment. The only other way to do this is to add each individual student separately, which is is very inefficient and eats up time when you have a high number of students.

I definitely agree with #3. We need to be able to create a group for students with accommodations whether they are ESE, 504 or ELL. When assigning due dates, we can assign an alternate due date to this group based on their accommodations of extended time. However, it is very time consuming to type in their names for every assignment and heaven forbid we do not want to accidently leave on off by accident either. I would be fabulous if we could just assign the "Group A" and due date then Everyone else the intended date.
