Clicked links now show a rectangle?

I'm in the process of reworking a Canvas course. All of a sudden last week, whenever I click a link that is embedded within an image, a rectangle appears, I'm assuming around the actual link itself. The rectangle remains until I click anywhere else on the page. Any ideas of how I can fix this or it within the css of Canvas itself? Unfortunately I can't get a screenshot as it goes away whenever I try to do so.

Hello Richard,

I'm sorry to hear that but it definitely sounds like something is going on with the browser. We would recommend verifying that it is up to date and then clear out the cache and cookies. I will include instructions on how to do this with a MAC and PC but if all else fails, try using a different supported browser to see if it behaves the same way and that will tell you if it is strictly that browser causing the issue.

I am experiencing the same issue.  Whenever I click on a link attached to an image, I see a black rectangular box which goes away whenever I click anywhere else on the screen.  I have tried this with a different browser and it does the same thing.. Any other suggestions?

Hmmm. Seems strange, because for me everything is fine. 

Did you try to scan your computer on viruses?

You're basically going to have to track where your rectangles are on the canvas, then set up an event listener on the canvas itself. From there you can take the coordinates of the click event and go through all your rectangles to test for 'collisions'.
