Copy Final Letter grade to A note column

I’d like to request a feature that allows the MyMav Final column, which is currently just a note field requiring manual entry to automatically reflect the Total column from Canvas.

As it stands, instructors must manually input every grade, even when Canvas already calculates the final grade based on the grading scheme. For those of us teaching large sections (200+ students per session), this process is extremely time-consuming and prone to human error.

If the Final column could auto-populate based on the Total column (pulling directly from Canvas), it would streamline the grading process, reduce mistakes, and save significant time for faculty.

The area to submit requests for new features for Canvas is elsewhere here on the Canvas Community website.  You've posted this in the area to ask questions about Canvas.  The area to submit feature requests is located at:

However, since your current status here in the Community is "Community Novice", I believe you'll need to "rank up" (which is similar to leveling up in games) and do a few more simple things to gain the next level.  And, the entire idea process is on hold for a bit...although you can still submit your ideas for consideration.  I'll provide you with some links that should help:

It's not completely automatic, but have you considered exporting the grades to a CSV, copying the grades in a spreadsheet editor to the appropriate column, and then importing them back to Canvas? I am not familiar with the MyMav column, but it should show up in the grades export/import process as well.

It's also possible to automate that using the Canvas API, which may be particular convenient if there are many instructors going through the same process multiple times.
