Couldn't preview the pdf file in Canvas using the MacBook safari

I am a MacBook user and I had been able to preview the pdf file in canvas by using safari until one day, it suddenly became blank and not letting me preview the pdf file except I download it. It has been 6 months since then...  May i ask  how to solve this problem?
