We have a course which has the visibility settings set to Institution, which enables users of the account to have access.
However, we have students in the People and therefore analytics linked to this course who do not attend the college anymore. These students have already been updated as inactive on our users reporting, so why do they continue to appear in the institution course?
Thanks in advance.

@oneilllj , they way that you have described this, if the students aren't enrolled and are accessing via institutional access, I'm not clear that you will get analytics via new analytics for non-enrolled students. You may still be able to get data from Admin Analytics or from the course access report (you need to grab the data every thirty days).

Hi @oneilllj,
As far as I know, users will appear in the People list in the course (assuming that's what you mean) once enrolled until you delete or conclude the enrollment. I notice you mention suspending, which is something don't to prevent a user from logging in, but does not affect their enrollments or visibility on the People page of courses as far as I know. In addition, changing the enrollment to inactive will prevent the user form accessing the course, but inactive enrollments do remain on listed on the People page as well. Can you clarify exactly what you're doing with the accounts/enrollments now and perhaps what you'd like the desired outcome to be? Perhaps someone here in the community can suggest some changes to your workflow that would accomplish your ultimate goals.

Hi Chris
As this is a course which is visible to all the students through Institution visibility, we won't conclude the course.
My aim is to ensure that we can obtain relevant analytics to see how students are interacting with this course and as it has inactive/suspended users linked to the course it skews our numbers (e.g. it shows low activity because there are so many non-users linked with the course).
So, to enable the statistics and analytics I am aiming to work out the best way forward.
Many thanks
Jen
