Creating a Pod

I would like to create "teams" (groups) of 5 people, with three teams in one "pod."  This would allow teams a separate place to exchange ideas, while maintaining the integrity of each team.  A metaphor might be separate teams and offices that can meet together in a conference room together.  In other words, groups within one group.

I'm thinking the only way to do it is make three separate groups, then combine all the people in those three separate groups into one separate group and name it "The Pod".  I intend on dividing a fully online class of 150 into 10 pods, 3 groups each.  Other ideas?

Hi @dbodman 

As you have seen, you can't really have nested "groups within groups".  The approach you describe of having one group set of "teams" for all the 5-person teams, then another group set of "pods", which represent the 15-person groups of 3 teams, is really the only way to do what you describe.
