Hi @JCBM ...
Thanks for the reply. It's not LMSCC but rather IMSCC (lower-case "i" as in "island"). If your course is less than 500 MB in size, those incoming faculty could sign up for a Free For Teacher account. Then, they could import your file into their own Canvas course within that environment. That would be much easier than having to unzip the *.imscc file, change the file extension to *.zip, and then unzip it. Once unzipped, you're going to have to look for the course files and the HTML pages from the course. It's not at all as elegant as looking at the content within an actual Canvas course. Here's a document for you to look at regarding the FFT account and a linked comparison between a paid and FFT account: Canvas Free-for-Teacher FAQ (canvaslms.com).
So, in summary, you could export your course:
Then, give the incoming faculty member, and that person can import the *.imscc file into his/her own course in FFT (again, assuming that the course is less than 500 MB in file size).
I hope this will give you an alternative and better way (in my opinion) to keep a copy of the course available online that you wouldn't need to store offline (such as on a hard drive).
