Although Canvas provides the dark mode feature on the Canvas mobile app, it is not offered on the Canvas website when using my laptop or computer. I have all of the features on my laptop set to dark mode, but as soon as I go to Canvas through my web browser, the bright white page comes up. No matter how dark I try to make my screen, the brightness of the page is too much. I suffer from migraine headaches and I would appreciate to feature to come into effect as soon as possible.

@SharronLTaylor - Thank you for your post.
Unfortunately, there is nothing native that modifies the Canvas LMS to dark mode via the desktop. I did find this answer on the community if you're a windows user
However, as a student, if you able to download the Canvas Student App, you can switch on dark mode. Hope you feel better!

Truly this needs a fix for accessibility. I have a low vision student who needs dark mode, and the ability to zoom. They're currently using darkreader, but image inversion is a major issue. I've added simple scripts to create a button that switches the image mode, but given new regulations, we need built in tools, stat! Here's an idea: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Ideas/Accessibility-Image-Mode-Switching-Feature/idi-p/640...
I have f.lux on my computer to help with chronic migraines. (justgetflux.com for details and research.) I added the extension Better Canvas, I just remembered. I am using Edge, if that matters. Take care. My Canvas went magically dark mode today on my laptop; I am here looking into it and came across this post. I did not purposely change it, or I would tell you how it happened.
