Deleting students in a course

Hello,

I need to know who deleted students from a course, since no student other than the teacher and the Canvas administrator have the necessary access, this is the third time this has happened.

Hi @juancperaltam,

You'll likely need to contact Canvas Support to find that kind of information out.  I'm not really aware of any ways information like that is available through the UI or the API.  It could potentially be somewhere in Canvas Data, but support would probably be a quicker and better way to get one-time info.

I have had no response to this issue for more than two months, they generated a ticket for me and I did not receive further details of what happened. The problem is that students are deleted from a course again and it is not detected how these students were deleted; Can you tell me what happened? The ticket number was:

Hi @juancperaltam,

Sorry your support ticket hasn't gotten a reply in a while.  There are a lot of different potential arrangements schools/institutions and Instructure can have for support.  I don't work for Instructure, so unfortunately, I can't look up your ticket details.  I am an admin for a higher-ed institution though, so I know quite a bit about the options...

My guess is that your tickets may be going to local school/institution support first and that they are responsible for initial responses and escalating things they cannot determine up to national Canvas support.  If this is the case, it may just be that your local team forgot to hit the escalate button on their end or unintentionally closed the case or something along those lines.  Would you be able to check with your local team there (usually in the eLearning / IT / Digital Education areas) to confirm the status of the ticket on their end?  They should still be able to escalate to national support on their end.

Just to double-check, the students do not self-enroll for the course using the special URL, correct?
