How do I set up a Canvas Discussion so that students are forced to submit their original post before they can view or read any replies from their classmates? Which checkbox or option enables this feature in the Discussion settings window?

Hi @DheerajHinduja,

That would be the "Participants must respond to the topic before viewing other replies" option.  It's shown as part of the How do I create a discussion as an instructor? - Instructure Community - 1029 guide, #2 in the "Set Additional Options" section.
