Document Not Uploading in the Comments/Feedback Section of a Submitted Assignment.

As an instructor, I am trying to upload a document in the Assignment Comments section for students (while in the SpeedGrader) but it is "stuck" in the "Submitting". When I click to go to the next student it gives the the message "You have created a comment that has not been posted..." and I click "Cancel" and wait and wait but it does not go anywhere. When I click on "Proceed" (trying to get out of it), the same file appears to go to the next student, but the same cycle happens. Please help.

Hello @nogueiramiryan - if this were to happen to me, I would do the following... probably in this order.

• Confirm my web browser is updated - and of course ensure I am using a supported web browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari.
• Check the file type and size of file. Did I somehow create a ginormous attachment?
• Clear the web browser cache.
• Disable the VPN as well as any browser extensions I may be using.
• Try using a different web browser and if no joy then a different device.
• Reach out to Canvas support. Include the link to a student assignment in SpeedGrader where this is observed. Also include an example file.

I tried it all but still with the same. Even when I delete the file (by pressing the X) it is still saying "submitting". I will reach out to Canvas.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for your follow up. I contacted Canvas Support and upon sending them screenshots by email, the problem went away. I was not given any information about it, but I feel good that it was nothing in my computer.
