Good day,
Echo360 option is now showing in the student view navigation bar, even though it has been dragged to be visible in the navigation bar. I as an instructor see it in my options. Could it be because the term hasn't started yet?
Kind regards,
Bestla

Hi, the Echo link is hidden from students outside the participation dates. Instructors can place a link somewhere in their course or students can go straight to Echo outside of Canvas as workarounds. We have reported this behavior to Echo in hopes they can make a change but nothing yet.
Hi @Bestla,
You'll likely need to speak to your school/institution Canvas team (usually in the eLearning / IT / Digital Education areas) about this to get a solid answer. My first guess is that your school configured the Echo360 course navigation tool to only be visible to teachers/admins, but I could be completely wrong about that. Unfortunately, members of the Instructure Community don't have aby access to your exact Canvas environment to be able to verify something like that, so your local team will be much better equipped to answer a question like this about your specific Canvas instance.
Please let us know what you're able to find!

Thank you for your answer. The thing is that students in my course that just finished now in June could see the Echo option, but not those who are starting in August, so I think it has something to do with the term settings. I got an answer from MDagne who said that Echo link is hidden from students outside the participation dates so I guess that's by design.
Best regards,
Bestla

Thank you, it's good to know I can place a link somewhere as plan B.
