Edit Dashboard

I would like to be able to remove the class cards on the dashboard when not in use? I currently have classes from last semester still up and I just want to clear the dashboard for the new semester. Is there a way to do that or is it something I have to wait on the IT department or professor from previous courses to do unpublished it?
