Enable Assignments in Published Course

My published course lists Assignments and Discussion Boards as "disabled," even though I have populated both with a discussion prompt and Assignment descriptions/assignments, complete with deadlines. I can't figure out how to make these visible, or how to "enable" them for students. Any suggestions?

You may need to enable them in the Settings menu.

Follow the instructions on this guide: How do I manage Course Navigation links? to move the hidden navigation settings to the visible area in Course Settings -> Navigation.
