Enabling New Quizzes

Hello!

I am an independent teacher, not part on an institution/school. I am trying to create a new quiz but when I go to settings-> feature options -> new quizzes, I am not able to enable it (it is greyed out). I have read online that admin have to approve new quizzes before its is able to be enabled, but I don't have admin to approve it. I am on a mac but I am accessing Canvas through Chrome (since I also read that Safari can cause issues). I am also using the k12 canvas account, if that matters towards my issue. Am I able to create quizzes with new quizzes or am I stuck using the old quiz type.

If you are using a Canvas Free for Teachers account (canvas.instructure.com), then you don't have access to the New Quizzes.

Though I have the New Quizzes available, and I'm still using Classic Quizzes due to its lack of an API that can make questions in Banks means .
