I like using the External Tool feature for the type of assignment submission so that the Canvas assignment and Google Docs immediately integrate and make the "submit" button available for students. However, I don't see that there is an option to utilize Turnitin when using the External Tool Assignment feature. Is this possible?

@ptrentham ...
My gut instinct tells me the answer is "no" on this...as I don't believe you can have two different external tool LTIs (Google and Turnitin) assigned to the same assignment and expect them to work together. I think you have to choose one or the other. Or, set up two assignments...one using Google and the other using Turnitin...which may not be ideal for your situation. 😕

Hello @ptrentham
As far as I understand you want to use 2 external tools within a Canvas assignment. Am I right? The best solution would be to raise a support ticket to consult with Canvas Support Team since they manage the Canvas assignment settings and may assist you.
Take care!
Hello @ptrentham. I know this is from awhile back - and I'm researching this exact issue for our institution at the moment. We currently have had to go with 2 assignments - one for the work in progress and then a 'Final Submissions' assignment where students upload a PDF of their Google Doc. I'm curious if you have found a better solution - or how you all are handling this. Thank you!
