Failure to open webcam quiz

My quiz fails to open when I hit the take quiz button. It says that the course is unknown to the system, and that the professor to check browser settings in dashboard

I'm guessing this is a quiz using LockDown Browser?  As the error message says, you'll want to contact your instructor and ask them to check the settings in the LockDown Browser Dashboard for the course.

Hello @VernonShelton,

If you are receiving the error message that is described at https://support.respondus.com/hc/en-us/articles/16543704243483-Exam-title-indicates-a-webcam-must-be...you need to tell your instructor that they need to go into the Canvas course and click on the (it is not visible to students but it is visible to instructors) "LockDown Browser" link that appears on the left-side course navigation area.

If the problem continues, reach out to your school's Help Desk, IT Department, or Canvas support team for help.
