Feature: Prominantly Display Current Grade on Homepage

I tried for a while to request this in the proper spot for Feature Requests but could not do so. So, I was hoping to post it here, and someone would help it find its way to the Feature Requests ...

In our department, about 50% of the professors use percentages for grading and about 50% use points. It just depends on the easiest method for the class and the professor. The problem is that students forget which class is which, despite how often they are reminded of what values in the "Grades" say.

So, my feature request is that the student's current grade (in % or points) be prominently displayed on the "Home" page so that students can see it easily. This could be at the top left, the middle, etc. Seeing your grade is helpful throughout the semester, especially at the end of the semester when exams approach when balancing several classes and exam policies.

interesting idea; unfortunately we need to keep clear blue water between the Canvas generated grade and the official student grade confirmed via our regulatory processes and award boards. I don;t think that our institution could support this - we would prefer to see a clearer distinction between 'Canvas Grade Construct' and Institutional Grade Construct' - they seldom coincide for us.

Could the proposed prominently displayed grade reflect what is indicated in each student's "Final Grade" column/row of the Canvas "Gradebook"? 

I'm not proposing a new grade calculation but rather just an easier, more convenient way for students to see/locate their grade. In other words, it is just a field pulled from the Gradebook but in a much larger font on the "Home" page.

Oh...it looks like your current ranking is "Community Novice", so you'll need to "rank up" a bit (similar to leveling up in a game) so that you can do more "stuff" here in the Community...including submitting ideas.  Here are a couple documents for you to look through:
