Finding Standards in Importable Format vs. asking the CSM to have them added

Since I am not considered a field admin in our organization, it's difficult to get our CTO, who has a number of different hats to quickly request items from our CSM (such as standards) to be added to our Canvas instance.

My question is why Canvas makes adding standards so difficult? Why not simply host a CSV for CCSS or other popular standards on their website and allow admins to add as they see fit?

This may be more of a request, but it's very frustrating when items like this are dependent upon multiple people rather than the judgement of the person who is actually in charge of making sure course contents are aligned with standards.

Hello @jbarr

Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with adding standards. There have been others looking for the same thing: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Question-Forum/Adding-Learning-Standards/m-p/491348

As of now, you would still need to speak with your CSM. We understand the need and desire to be able to import them yourself. I searched for similar requests within the idea forum but could not find one. Feel free to check out our Ideas Conversation forum as we implement great ideas such as this that we find within the community.
