Giving students feedback on quiz

I created a survey-type, ungraded quiz.. My question is about the "Additional Comments" box that I see when I open students' answers. If I put a comment in there, do students receive it? And if so, are they notified that the comment is there, or do they have to discover it on their own?  Thanks.

Hi @lrieser 

I was able to test this on my end and leaving comments on the questions does not trigger a notification for the students. they would need to access their attempt on the quiz to be able to view the comment.
