Google LTI submission changes

REcently, it seems there has been a change in what happens with Google LTI assignments after the student submits it.  If I open it to review the work, Canvas automatically gives it full points, even when I return the assignment for revision without a grade.  Another change is that if a student does make changes and re-submits, I cannot tell it has been re-submitted.  It used to be that the assignment would be marked "submitted" again, but now it just shows as "draft."  I can't tell from looking at the list if the student has already revised it or not, if he is waiting for it to be checked or if he's still working on it.  

Is there some adjustment I need to make in the assignment settings?  Why has this changed?
