Green/red/no box at all boxes mean after you have completed a course

I have passed all of my courses with passing grades and yet two of my courses have this issue, one with a red box and one with nothing at all. Does anyone know what this means?

Thanks for the screenshot, that's very helpful.  I can tell you the boxes you see on the left just indicate what color the course dashboard card and calendar items were for the course.  If you no longer see the courses on your dashboard, the colors are mostly meaningless, so you can ignore them.  Your final grades for courses are generally entered somewhere other than Canvas (usually in what's called a student information system), but you'd need to check with someone directly at your school about that, as we in the global Canvas community don't know how things are done for every individual school.
