My reply was from 2019, and I think things have changed a bit in the Gradebook since then. I *think* you might be able to use the information in this Guide:
Check out the section called "View Differentiated Assignments" in this Guide (about half-way down): How do I use the Gradebook?. You may need to go to the assignment in your course, edit the details, and then check the "Assign to" area of the assignment to see what you have configured there. As of today, according to CANVAS support, this issue is still not fixed and was not included in the fixes made as part of the request you linked to above.
