I am a technology integrator looking to help a teacher have a class participation assignment that does not show to the students but can still be graded. Can't seem to figure out a way to have an unpublished assignment but still give a grade.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
Thanks!
Samantha
Solved! Go to Solution.
The teacher needs to have a published Assignment. All the Assignment really needs is a name (e.g. Classroom Participation). She can set it as "no submission," and then she can enter points for it.
If she doesn't want the students to see their points, then she can simply "hide" the grades. She can do that in the Gradebook by clicking on the 3 dots at the top of the column.
Hi @SamanthaBasuk,
I don't believe there is a way to do this without the student seeing the assignment at all... As @SusanNiemeyer mentioned, the assignment can have just a title and no description or anything, but it has to be published, meaning students would see the title in the gradebook even if the grades are hidden.

Thanks!

Got it, figured that was the case. Thanks!
