How Does the Front Page in a Group Work?

Hi everyone,

I'm experimenting with how Groups work before asking my students to try it. In the group, logged in as a student, I can create a Page and there is an option to set it as the Front Page. That all works. What I don't understand is where that Front Page shows up. 

I thought it would appear on the group's homepage, but nope. It doesn't seem to appear anywhere other than on the Group's Pages list.

I can't find anything in the Student Guide. Can someone help me? I was hoping students could make a to-do list for their project and publish it on the group's homepage.

Hello @tengrrl - ahead of replying I tested myself to make sure a change hadn't snuck in on me. ;o) Now that I have done so I can confirm the ability to set a Front Page for groups has not been developed. I understand there is a setting to do so however that does not function the same as does establishing a Front Page as a course Home Page.

While rechecking prior discussions in this Community for comments and suggestions on the topic, I came upon an idea submitted a while back and this has plenty of comments.
