Disable self-sign-up for student groups.

I would like to disable self-sign-up for student groups. There is a guideline for this, but it isn’t working—I am unable to save after unticking the "Allow self-sign-up" box.

Do you have any advice on how to resolve this issue?

Assuming you're a teacher or TA, when you say you're unable to save your changes, are you able to see the save button however it just won't load? Or does the save button not appear to save these changes?

If I have understood you, I have been able to duplicate your problem.

1. created a group set
2. while creating the group set, I set it so "Allow self sign-up" is enabled
3. after creating the group set, I have tried to disable "Allow self sign-up" and I cannot

I would recommend that you follow your institution's normal support process (which may or may not provide you with the ability to contact Canvas Support directly) so that Canvas can fix this problem.  This is something that I will be doing as well.

Is there anything else?

@dbrace - as i understand this question and your reply - this is an open bug at the moment. The function of turning off self-sign-up used to work until recently. Say 2 months ago? Is that correct @FerdinandOswald 
We have reported it to Canvas. Happy to supply the ticket# for anyone else that has this issue.

Last I checked, and I have not checked since the 18th and I have not received an update from when I reported it to Canvas Support, it is an open bug.

At this moment, the best thing to do is to report it to Canvas Support (which you have already done) and wait to hear back from them.

Yesterday evening I received a notice that my case with Canvas Support for this bug had been resolved.

This morning I am no longer able to duplicate the problem.

The documented known issue still considers this to be an open issue but everything seems to be working as expected.
