How can you add a ruler and a protractor tool to the annotation tool bar for an assignment?

I'd like to know if we can add into the tool bar a ruler and a protractor in the same way as we can have a paint brush and a text box. Is this possible?

This would be a great thing for you to submit to the "Ideas and Themes" area of the Canvas Community...in hopes that it might be implemented by Instructure in the future.
