How do I calculate a letter grade from course outcomes?

My school district is requiring us to issue letter grades based on course outcomes. I have my summatives linked to the course outcomes in Canvas, but the letter grades seem to still be based on their formative work that's being recorded in the traditional gradebook averaged together using straight points with the summative work that gets the 0-4 score on the rubrics tied to course outcomes. The Learning Mastery Gradebook seems to just give a list of which things they do and do not have 3s on yet rather than their grade.
How do I get it to give me the letter grade in the district course grading scheme based on the work tied to outcomes as the letter grade it displays for teachers, students, and parents?
Specifics of our district-mandated grading scheme:
- Only summative assignments count toward grade, formatives do not
- Each course has certain mandated course outcomes that we're supposed to have about 3 summatives each on
- All summatives are graded using interger scores of 0-4 on a specific district rubric
- The three-ish measures for each course outcome are combined using a decaying 60%/40% average (most recent counts for 60% of the grade)
- The decaying average scores on each summative are then supposed to be averaged using a standard mean to generate the final letter grade (0-0.79 I, 0.8-1.59 D, 16.-2.39 C, 2.4-3.19 B, 3.2-4.0 A)
Here's what we've got set up in Canvas so far:
- Learning Mastery Gradebook turned on
- Student Learning Mastery Gradebook turned on
- Course Outcomes imported into Canvas as Outcomes using our rubrics
- Those Outcomes tied to specific summatives in our classes (and formatives either not tied to an outcome or told not to post to learning mastery gradebook for that outcome)
- Those assignment scored on the rubric linked to our Outcomes
- Outcomes calculated using the decaying 60%/40% average
- Course Grading Scheme of the (0-0.79 I, 0.8-1.59 D, 16.-2.39 C, 2.4-3.19 B, 3.2-4.0 A) applied
However, letter grades are still calculating based on all assignments rather than just the ones linked to the outcomes, and are calculating based on overall points in the class rather than by averaging the course outcome grades.
What setting am I missing?
