How do I get rid of old rubrics from previous semesters?

I've been using Canvas for five years. I can't seem to delete any prior rubrics. As the class names haven't changed, it is difficult to assign a rubric that doesn't come up as the second or third iteration of the same rubric, I have to look through all of them to find the one attached to my current classes. How can I streamline the rubric choices?

There are instructions on how to delete rubrics near the end of this Guide: How do I manage rubrics in a course? - Instructure Community - 1017 (canvaslms.com)

Also, are you re-using any rubrics multiple times in your courses?  For example, is the same rubric attached to two or more assignments in your course?  If that is the case, you must remove the rubric from all but one assignment, and then you can fully delete the rubric from the course.
