Hello all,
I can't believe I'm posting such a basic question after so many years in the Canvas Community. Recently, and for the first time, I tried to embed some images when posting some new ideas to Idea Conversations. First I uploaded the images as attachments. Then I right clicked on the attachment links to get the URLs. Then I pasted the URL into the Source field of the Insert Image function in the editor, but that doesn't seem to work. I also tried hand editing the HTML with an <img src="link_to_image"> tag to no avail. What am I doing wrong?

Hello @leward
You should be able to upload the images as attachments beneath your post. There is a small red cloud that says "drag and drop here or browse files to attach" This is the easiest way to get images from your computer to your post. After attaching, when you hit reply they will be underneath your post for users to see. If you want to use the insert photos option you can, but the image URL link needs to be one already online - not from the image you are attaching to your post. Or you can forego the URL and also just upload the images via the insert photos icon and hit "done" afterwards. Hopefully this helps!

Hi @leward ...
Whenever I reply to folks here in the Community and want to include images along with my responses, I use the camera icon (between the smiley face and the video icon) to insert my images. A large box appears on my screen, and I click on the red "Choose Files" button. Then, I select the image from my laptop I want to include in my response. On the right hand side, I can choose a size and a position, but I normally just hit the "Done" button. Then, the image is embedded in my response...similar to this:
Hope this helps a bit!

Hello @leward
Thanks for getting back to us. We appreciate you checking on mobile and the browser. We were able to take a further look into the issue and the problem should be resolved for you. Please try refreshing your browser (if you kept this post open in a tab) and uploading the image once more. You should find that it works and you do not need to use an external image URL or Google to upload but can do so directly from your computer. Should you have any issues, please respond here directly and let us know but the issue should be resolved moving forward.
