How to remove a quiz question WITHOUT deleting it from a question bank.

Every time I try to delete a question from a quiz, it gets deleted from its test bank as well.  How do I delete it from the quiz while KEEPING it in the question bank?  The quiz has pre-determined questions, it is not randomly pulling questions from the test bank.

 @cp2655 , are you using new quizzes or legacy quizzes. In Legacy quizzes, this is not expected/intended behavior, but I'll be honest I've never really dug into how it should work in new quizzes.

These are new quizzes that I am building for a new course this semester (using the +Quiz button).  I don't know what you mean by "legacy" quizzes, I don't see any option for that in my Canvas view.

This there a "Quizzes" link in your course navigation? If so, if you click on it and click to add a quiz, then that is legacy quizzes (so the original quiz tool in Canvas). Yet, if your school is using the new quizzing tool, they might now want you to revert back to legacy quizzes. All that being said, I did some research, and I'm still not sure if it is normal behavior when you delete a question from a quiz, that it is deleted from the question bank. I'm going to ask around and see if someone who has used it more than me can assist.

 @cp2655 , greetings! I just checked with one of our amazing Instructure employees and they double-checked and in both new and legacy quizzes, they could not duplicate the behavior you are reporting. To us, that means this is not intended Canvas behavior and we would appreciate it if you would report this to Canvas Support. To do this, click on the Help link in Canvas and "Report a Problem."
