I'm a member and I can't post an idea suggestion

My title says it all.  I have suggested ideas in the past, and I am a "Community Member" (which is actually not listed on the page of possible ranks).  Despite being a member and logged in, when I try to make a suggestion, it says, "You do not have sufficient privileges for this resource or its parent to perform this action."

So I navigated to this page where it explains that to post an idea you must have the rank of "Member".

Who can start an idea conversation?

Any registered user with the rank of Member may begin an idea conversation. Anyone can create an account for free and become a registered user. 

Anybody know what's going on?

I don't have an answer for you, but I wanted to let you know that I've passed along your posting to a couple of the Community Managers so that they can look into this further for you.  Hopefully you'll hear from one of them soon!

Hi @jbagley -

You're correct! You have earned the Member ranking. For some reason, the New Member status needed to be manually removed from your account. You're all set now, and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

The difference is that you are currently listed as a "New Member".  You'll need to participate more in the Community to "rank up" (level up) so that you can submit new Feature Ideas.  Here is a blog that Kristin wrote that has more information on the recent change:

I cant even find the "suggest an idea" button. Chat bot doesnt even know. 😶

Hi @AMYSARKISIAN - Panda Bot has learned our Insturcture product guides, but may not know the details on how to find a particular button on our site.

Once you obtain the Community Member rank, you can visit any of the product Ideas pages and Submit a Button. The button will not display if you are not signed in or if you don't have the correct rank. How do I rank up in the Instructure Community?
