Instructor Modules Three Dot Jump Issue

Any time I click the three dots next to any item under modules in Canvas in the instructor edit view to show more options, Canvas immediately jumps to the top of the page. I have tried this across multiple different courses, browsers, accounts, and machines. The same behavior is exhibited on all of them.

Hi @ncssmCS,

I encountered this issue a couple days ago as well.  I'd definitely suggest that you contact Canvas Support to report it to them if you're able to.  In general, the more people that report a problem the quicker it gets prioritized and fixed!

I am experiencing this behavior on my instance as well.

Something I found that helps is by clicking on the three dots (but not releasing off the mouse) and then dragging your mouse off of the button and then clicking off, and it will stay in place (hopefully!). I hope that makes sense and I hope that can help temporarily.

Experiencing this as well, and it's highly frustrating. It also does not matter which browser I have used, the problem is the same.

I have started right-clicking the 3 dots and then just clicking anywhere on the Canvas menu that pops up in order to close the system menu that also opens with a right click.

Canvas engineers are aware of the issue and have implemented the fix in the beta instance for testing. Once testing is complete, they plan to push the update over to production instances. So, the fix should be coming soon, thankfully 😃

@dbrace It has not been pushed to production yet, and as far as I can tell, it was only pushed to beta within the past couple of days. Hopefully they will get it to production soon.

Thanks for the update, @caldwell. I was not sure if it had or had not because your last commet was on November 12th and I thought that maybe it was included in either Saturday's regular monthly release or yesterday's bi-weekly release.
