Instructor: attachment uploads fail

All of a sudden, the graders and instructors are no longer able to see text comments when we make them or files with comments when we upload them in Speedgrader. This is true for multiple assignments. We cleaned our caches, cookies, etc., we tried to upload feedback in a new assignment -- nothing seems to be working. Just a week or so ago everything was working fine.... To specify, I am not talking about comments within the students' submitted documents, but comments in the sidebar textbox and attachment uploads. 

We get a message that says our comment has been submitted but we can see no evidence of the comment on our end after that message.

Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with viewing comments. Is the assignment set to a manual grading policy? That will hide all comments from them. Is the assignment in a past grading period and the grading period is locked or closed after the end date? That could also make them disappear but would typically remove the entire assignment from view.

Because of the complexity of the issue, and the concerns for privacy, it would be best if you contacted Canvas Support directly to pinpoint the source of the issue and provide a resolution:
