Integrating Canvas with WebCAPE for language placement exams

Hi All,

I'm writing to seek your help, advice, and guidance. Our language faculty would like to use a tool called WebCAPE (https://emmersion.ai/products/webcape/) to administer their language placement exams to incoming students. I would like to integrate it with Canvas so that our students log into Canvas and then access WebCAPE without the need to create separate logins. Additionally, I would like the students' assessment scores to populate the grade book in Canvas. The folks at WebCAPE shared information about their API (attached) but I'm still struggling to figure out how it works. I'm wondering if any of you have any experience with WebCAPE and Canvas, and could share your thoughts.

Hi @jsnow-bowdoin ,

I don't know the answer to your question, but I wanted to let you know that I don't see an attachment, only the link to the main site for WebCAPE.

Did the folks at WebCAPE tell you that the grades could be integrated into the Canvas Gradebook? Not all external sites have that capability even when they have an integration protocol with Canvas.

Thank you for your thoughts. We found a work-around that is not ideal, but will suffice.
