Is there a way to add a Javascript to the header or footer of my Canvas instance?

I am looking use a third-party website feedback tool. The requirements to launch is to place a javascript into the HTML of the header or footer of the page.

Be sure to identify the risk the JS code can create.  Global JS will load on every Canvas page in that account.  In our circumstance, BGSU is supporting two vendors in our global JS file.  We have a risk that one or both of the services may be down and creating a performance issue for our Canvas instances.  It also may be a risk for a single user who is unable to connect to the sites.  This is just one example of the risk that can be introduced using this feature.  I'm not trying to dissuade you, but just wanted you to be informed.

Hi, just want to follow up on this question. Where can I find where to add the JS script in the header or footer again? What I am trying to do is to create the Qualtrics website feedback intercepts (feedback bar, etc) to allow the students to provide their feedback during their learning journey, and preferably organise this across all the courses.

Hi @qclassroomdemo ...

As @James had suggested back in 2019, this would be added to your custom JavaScript and/or CSS global files following the Guide that he linked to.  The new location of this Guide is at: How do I upload custom JavaScript and CSS files to an account?.  You would need to have administrator rights for your school's Canvas account in order to upload custom JS and CSS files for your Canvas environment.  Also, it is best to first test out any custom code you upload by using your school's Canvas "test" environment before applying things to your school's "production" Canvas environment (the environment you normally sign in to).

Also, please review the comment from @dschuma and also the information in the blue boxes at the top of the Guides I've linked for you.
