Items deleted from item bank retained when exported

I'm using the New Quizzes function. I have a quiz that pulls items from an item bank. Normally, I would have it set up where the quiz randomly pulls a subset of items from a larger item bank, but in this instance it happens to be that the quiz pulls all of the items contained in the item bank.

The item bank was modified (4 items were removed, reducing the total number of items from 34 to 30). When I open the item bank, it only shows these 30 items, not the original 34 items. When students take the quiz, they are only presented with these 30 retained items, not any of the 4 deleted items. But when I export the quiz (using the 'exports' option in the 'build' section), it exports all 34 items, including the 4 deleted items. It's as though two different versions of the item bank exist: one that appears within Canvas and one that is exported. In the exported QTI file, there are no flags or any kind of distinction between the 4 items that were deleted and the rest of the 30 retained items. I haven't looked closely enough, but presumably any other modifications I made to the item bank (e.g., revised question wording) are also not contained in this exported file. 

So I guess my question is, how do I export the modified item bank?

It has been about 4 or 5 days since you posted this question to the Canvas Community and, besides myself, no one else has responded. This could have been because of the time of the calendar/academic year or because no one else has any experience with this situation or any guidance to offer.

If you have not already done so, I would recommend that you contact your institution's Canvas team or contact Canvas Support directly (if your institution subscribes to that type of additional support).

Seems like their export functionality is not yet completed?  That wouldn't be as expected to me, seems buggy.  I did a similar test and found a similar result.

• I created an Item Bank with 3 questions.  I took the quiz as a student.  I edited one question so that it would give me an error that I was editing a copy.
• I exported the quiz, I imported it which also imports a new Item Bank.  

Result: is the edited question does import correctly (which is good!) and I see no remnant of the pre-edited question, but the deleted questions magically reappear....
